Need a like-hearted mentor to bounce your ideas off of?
All leaders benefit from guidance from experienced mentors, but it can be difficult to find someone who shares your philosophies about how to lead in a purpose-driven business.
Sounding Board allows you to share your ideas, challenges, and questions with mentors who have decades of experience and who are also aligned in a purpose-driven and values-focused way. It's not enough to have someone guide you in "what" to do, but being aligned with an experienced Small Giants mentor around the "how" and the "why" is the game changer.
In structured, monthly one-on-one meetings, your mentor will serve as a personal "sounding board" that you can to bounce ideas off of...someone trusted outside of your day-to-day who has your back.

You’ve got a friend
Here’s what you can expect from your Sounding Board mentor relationship.
- Compatibility is key
Share a bit about you, your business and your goals through an in-depth application and questionnaire that will help us select your ideal mentor.
- What’s your type?
We’ll administer an assessment to better understand your working style, natural behaviors, strengths, and communication preferences. This will help your mentor understand how to best help you develop and grow.
- Monthly meetings
Every month, meet with your mentor and follow a consistent agenda to get the most out of your time together. Each session, you can share personal and professional updates, review your vision and goals, share progress from the previous call, discuss new business opportunities, talk about strategies, and document new action items. Your relationship is a minimum of a 12-month commitment in order to truly maximize the benefits of mentorship.
- Build your toolkit
Learn through the experience of your rockstar mentor! Although they won't tell you exactly what to do, they'll guide you to a point of understanding to empower you to make the best decision for you and your company.
- More than just a "mentor"
Your mentor is not only your personal and trusted sounding board, but they will help to keep you on track and accountable to your goals. Along the way, you'll develop a close relationship with your mentor, even beyond business.

Founders, CEOs, C-suite leaders, and any rising leader who is looking for one-on-one support, guidance and mentorship.
Whether this is your first time having a formal mentor, you’ve been part of other peer groups, or you have other coaches or mentors, Sounding Board can be a complementary fit.
No challenge is too big or too small. Mentees can bring topics related to their role, operations, strategy, people and balancing life, etc. Some mentees come with targeted aspects of their business that they want to change, while others begin with a more vague knowledge that things could be improved, and go from there.
While there are many wonderful programs out there, what’s unique about Sounding Board is that the mentors are all practitioners. This means they have been there, done that. They’re just further along in their leadership journey and are able to work on the business, instead of in the business, and can give back and support others. They also always share from their own personal experiences. Secondly, all mentors are aligned with the Small Giants philosophy so they’re like-minded and like-hearted.
Our mentors are experienced Small Giants leaders. They have participated in Small Giants programming and have been practitioners of Small Giants values and philosophies for years. We want to ensure that every mentee can maximize their Sounding Board experience, so our mentors are high caliber, trusted members of the Community. They are some of our favorite, most trusted people, and we’re confident you’ll agree!
We learn about the mentee by way of application, assessment and Zoom conversation and, based on what they want to work on, then we go to our database of mentors who we know very well and match based on shared experiences.
